Ultra2 Universal drives add the feature of hot plug compatibility between Ultra2 capable ProLiant Server ProLiant Storage System Alphaservers and Storageworks enclosure. These hot plug drives are offered in several capacity and spindle speeds without any increase in unit price over standard Pluggable Ultra2 drives. Storage commonality across these platforms provides many benefits including reduced cost of ownership reduced storage complexity and a minimized hard drive spares inventory.
