Overview: This next-generation DAT drive utilizing DDS2 technology performs up to 25% faster and a new mechanism reduces the need for cleaning. It protects servers up to 8 GB in capacity. This new version of the industry standard DDS-2 DAT Drive provides a Maximum 3.6 GB per hour data transfer rate. It is up to 25% greater than other DDS-2 drives. It has DDS-2 format with increased capacity and over twice the data-transfer rate of DDS1 drives. It is compatible with DDS1 tapes to read and write to DDS1. It is fully tested on a variety of Compaq products including ProSignia and ProLiant System. It operates under Microsoft Windows NT Novell NetWare SCO UNIX and Windows NT 6.x and Seagate Software OS/2 environments. The kit contains a DAT Drive a 4-GB DDS2 DAT cassette a cleaning cassette a mounting bracket and documentation.
