Overview:
Upgrading the StorageWorks Enclosure 4200 Family to Ultra3 takes less then 5 minutes and is as easy as swapping out the I/O module on the back of the unit. The I/O module is warm-swappable and can transfer data at up to 160MB/s. To achieve maximum transfer rates up to 160MB/s you also need to have the storage enclosure connected to an Ultra3 adapter or controller and Ultra3 Universal disk drives installed in the StorageWorks Enclosure 4200. All Ultra3 devices from Compaq are backward compatible with Ultra2 devices so you can mix and match components in the same storage enclosure or server. However Ultra2 devices will transfer data at 80MB/s. The StorageWorks Enclosure 4200 Family supports all Compaq Ultra2 (LVD) and Ultra3 (LVD) Universal (1-inch) hot-plug hard disk drives.

All products are re-tested and if neccesary replacement of components is performed to bring the product up to its original, fully functional condition.
