The new 35/70 DLT drive provides an upward migration path to higher performance and greater capacity storage for backup.??The 35/70GB DLT drive is 4 times as fast with over twice the capacity of the 15/30GB DLT drive. This new tape drive changes the nature of the backup window from worrying about if the drive can fit into the time available to minimizing the impact on performance of concurrent end-user and backup tasks. Users can be assured that they will be backed up regularly without interfering with normal daily operations. For the LAN Administrator all this is available at a very reasonable cost. Compaq provides 8MB of built-in cache that optimizes this tape drive for a higher level of performance.
