SDLT will change the way companies protect and use information. Supported through Compaq Insight Manager alerting the administrator when tape status changes or when rewrite/reread thresholds are exceeded. ??Compaq is now offering TSMC - Tape Storage Management Console with every tape drive. This utility allows customers to upgrade their tape drive firmware when necessary. SDLT tape drive has been improved with the added feature of DRTape. DRTape insures that in case of a system failure you will be able to restore your system from a single tape.
